A childhood captivation with all the magic contained in the pages of fairytales and storybooks has been what fueled our journey with The Enchanted Story Book Nook. In 2019, husband and wife, Brent and Jenna Austin, stumbled across a property in Hamurana, Rotorua, where they discovered an abandoned and dilapilated shadehouse. Brent suggested that it could be turned into a chicken coop, but Jenna immediately saw the potential of the space, where she fell back into cherished childhood memories, and imagined a magical fairytale garden. What began as a personal passion project quickly flourished into a much larger scale undertaking. Jenna, Brent, and friend, artist,& fellow fairytale enthusiast, Maria Hermans have devoted many hours, much love and huge doses of creativity, into manifesting this one of a kind Storybook world, which one enters, though our very own wardrobe.

You will be transported into a magical secret garden, full of whimsy, fairytales and familiar faces. A meandering yellow brick road will lead you through beloved story books of your childhood, interspersed with beautiful flora and whimsical garden art. Like any good story, it hasn’t ended yet, and will continue to grow and evolve in to our own piece of happily ever after.
